Rice Dream: Hazelnut Almond Milk

Original Rice Dream isn't really for me, it's ok and I prefer it in tea/coffee to soya, but it's kind of watery and flavourless. But their hazelnut almond milk is good stuff. Probably not for everyone, by that anyone who doesn't like the taste of nuts. I think the flavour is just right, not too strong or bitter, it's creamy and refreshing. I can happily have a glass (kind of like a mild milkshake), or it makes a great addition to cereal and hot drinks. Once I found a bit of something in it, but i think it was just a nut skin or some kind of something. But don't let put you off, it's a nice fairly sweet drink with flavour.
It also lasts a long time - I had one open for over two weeks before it curdled in my coffee so bonus points for shelf life.

Lizi's: Treacle & Pecan Granola

Wow, this is some good cereal. I had some this morning with Ecomil organic hazelnut milk, which I will review later, and I have to say it was a lot tastier than I expected. Maybe because it's a dry cereal I expected it to taste more dry and boring but it was actually really flavoursome, and I think would make an amazing base if you like to add other things to your cereal. I've tried a couple of Lizi's other cereals before and they are pretty consistent, and I would recommend them for the taste and texture. This one is for those with a sweet tooth, like me, so I will give it 5/5. Because I can't see a different treacle and pecan one being able to top it.

*update* Well that being said maybe a 4/5, I think I should save 5/5 for perfect products with a real wow factor. This is really good, but I guess it could be a bit crunchier.

Suma: Nutty Crunch

Nutty crunch is a basic cereal from Suma, which mainly consists of oats and despite it's name isn't particulily crunchy. But it is ok, I think the reason I like it is because it's quite versitile. The flavour is, well, mild. There are some raisons in it, but overall you can add things to it and use it as a base. Which makes sense as this cereal is a little cheaper than some of its competitors.

I like to eat with banana's, chocolate spread and Rice Dream's hazelnut almond milk - that's the picture below. On it's own it's ok, maybe 3/5 tops, but mixed up with the other goodies its 5/5. Quite sweet and rich breakfast but it will give you loads of energy to start off a busy day.

Essential: Apple & Cinnamon Muesli

Today's review is for Essential's Apple & Cinnamon Muesli. I've eaten this with Tesco's almond milk which I'll put a mini review up afterwards. I've pretty much finished this packet of muesli now, which is about 5+ bowls worth. It's quite a nice cereal, if you like the apple/cinnamon combination, you can certainly taste both flavours. The strength of the flavours is kind of lacking, I wouldn't say weak but just above weak. By that I mean it needs something else if you really want a flavour sensation. So it might be worth chopping some fresh apple into it or putting some hot apple and cinnamon drink in it with the milk of your choice (if you have milk). Maybe some apple puree would do it. The texture is ok, it gets soggy fairly quickly and to me it tastes better when its still crunchy so I tend to eat it quite fast.

I might buy it again in the future, but for now I'm still trying new brands, and I have a suspition that there is another apple and cinnamon cereal I prefer. 3/5
